Week #4 - Assignments (“Must Do”)

Most of this week’s assignments are “Must Do”, but please contact me if this is not possible. I completely understand every home situation is different, and I am very flexible.

Assignments will be due Friday night.

Instructions for each assignment are written in the Google Classroom assignment. I have organized the work into categories (Reading, Writing, Math). All needed files will be under one assignment.

Reading (Must Do):

  • Read Chapter 11 of Percy Jackson (links provided to the novel and YouTube video) if your child is able, encourage them to read instead of listen, this is good practice.

  • Answer the Chapter Questions

Writing (Must Do):

  • Paragraph of the Week: Is it better to be a kid or an adult?

Math (Must Do):

  • Radius, Diameter, Circumference, and Area (new this week) of a circle.

  • 2 worksheets

Class Meetings This Week:

  • Percy Jackson Meeting with Mr. Neumeyer and Mrs. Brown (optional): Tuesday at 11am. This is for students who need help and/or would like to discuss the the chapter questions. Students will have needed to listen or read chapter 11 before this meeting

  • “Fun Friday Meeting” with Mr. Neumeyer and Mrs. Brown (optional): Friday at 11am. We will check in with students, play some Kahoot games for fun, and take any questions anyone has.

Current Events (optional):

  • Students who are interested in some bonus work can email Mr. Neumeyer at eneumeyer@sd69.bc.ca and ask for an account for “Currents4Kids” a current events article website.

  • They choose an article and complete the quizzes and assignments. I will see their results.

ADST Projects (optional)

  • Please see the pdf files in the Google Classroom

IXL Math (optional)

  • Log in to your IXL account, and keep your math skills sharp. 15 minutes a day is good!
